Contemporary Dancer and Choreographers
Segolene started her training in performing arts in Paris, France : she studied music at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, theatre at the Universite Paris X and contemporary dance at the Universite Paris 8 and Studio Harmonic dance school. Pursuing her training in Montreal, Qc, Canada, where she received a master's degree in dance at the Université du Québec à Montréal, she also immersed herself into the circus world, training in aerial dance on silks, trapeze-dance and hoop at La Caserne 18-30.
Since 2000 she's been performing as a dancer, aerialist and actress for many different independent artists and companies on stage and on film (Fanny Dulin/Chtinguelah, Kondition Pluriel, Caravan Stage, Nadia Lauro, Anna Holtzman/Malinda Allen, Jeremy Nelson & Luis Lara Malvacias, Kiebpoli Calnek/BlackAcrobat, Flambeaux Fire LLC, RingMasters Inc., Pavel Zustiak/Palissimo, AcroBack...) in France, Belgium, Holland, Canada, the Bahamas and the US, while developing her own work.
She presented site specific/video-choreographic installations, aerial acts and stage productions of her own in various events and festivals in Paris and Montreal between 2003 and 2006, in NYC since 2007, Mexico CIty in 2010, Recife Brazil in 2013.
She also works regularly as an aerial instructor for Circus Warehouse, Heliummm and Aerial Arts NY in NYC and teaches workshops internationally.
