Jan is an international performer, creator, and all-around nice guy.

Jan Damm is a multi-faceted performer combining skills in juggling, equilibristics, acrobatics, illusion, dance, physical and verbal theater under the idiom of clown. Equally at home as a solo performer or collaborating with an ensemble, Jan has crossed the world performing his unique variety of circus.

Growing up in central Maine, he began performing professionally as a children's entertainer when he was but a child himself. As a youth he followed theatrical and academic pursuits in equal measure, and once won five consecutive college debate rounds in full clown makeup.

After receiving an economics degree from Bard College, he was drawn away from fiscal matters towards juggling and busking and soon amassed a repertoire of material playing the street corners of Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Upon moving to San Francisco, he took up residence at that city's world-renowned Circus Center, where he furthered his study of circus and acrobatics under the direction of Master Teacher Lu Yi. He also found opportunities to study clowning under some of the modern masters, including Avner Eisenberg, Jeff Raz and John Gilkey.

Jan has performed with dozens of circus companies around the world, including the New Pickle Circus, Circus Bella, Circus Zoppe, Cirque Magnifique, and Cirque Mechanics 'Birdhouse Factory'. He was recently featured on 'The Late Show with David Letterman', where grammy-winner Meatloaf called him "Very entertaining, like two girls kissing on a subway." In fall of 2011 he toured the high seas with Celebrity Cruises' flagship 'Silhouette', where he was the lead performer in the cirque-style production 'Silhouette: The Show'.

Jan loves to travel, meet new people and collaborate with other artists. He has worked on coaching and act creation for youth circus companies such as the Bay Area's City Circus and Vermont's Cirkus Smirkus. He is especially proud of his work with 'Clowns without Borders USA', with whom he traveled to Haiti to perform shows and workshops for communities affected by the earthquake. Jan is a rolling stone, and wherever he lays his hat is his home.

Professional Belly Dance Artist Middle Eastern Performer, Instructor and Choreographer

Donna has been a Professional Middle Eastern Performer and Instructor in the Northeastern states for many years. She has appeared at hotels, casinos, showcases, festivals, country clubs, universities, charity events and performed with dance companies. She appears regularly as the featured dancer for various restaurants in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

Donna has been requested by invitation to perform in Atlantic City for various casinos, by request for the Turkish Ambassador and renowned dance companies in the Tri-State area. She has also been requested by invitation to perform in Cairo, Egypt. Donna has given lessons and lectures on the ancient art form of Middle Eastern Dance, at several colleges and dance studios throughout the Philadelphia and surrounding counties. She has been sought after to teach and instruct for dance colleges in the area and to perform stage as well as cabaret shows for various public venues. Donna is one of Philadelphia’s premier dancer/instructors and is well known in the Tri-State area for offering professional, artistic, enchanting family friendly shows that are unique and authentic. She truly honors the art of Middle Eastern culture and dance. Donna has written many published articles on Middle Eastern dance that truly denote the respect and artistic presence of Belly Dance.

Donna has been captured by the arts since she was a young child. Beginning her dance studies with classes as well as lessons in ballet, lyrical, jazz, modern, hip-hop, Irish dancing, Ballroom and Latin dance, Donna is a well rounded entertainer. She was first introduced to the unique and graceful style of Middle Eastern Dance by her grandmother, who had been a performer/teacher herself in the traditional Turkish style. Traveling to Turkey for a better understanding of this art, her grandmother brought back the true essence of the Turkish style and movements which she passed on to Donna.

As her love for this rare, but sensual feminine dance grew, Donna expanded her studies to include lessons in the Egyptian and Lebanese styles of dance including the most common known modern Egyptian style, Raqs Sharqi. Cabaret dancers (or dancers in restaurants and night clubs that perform with the audience) are commonly known throughout the Middle East as performing Raqs Sharqi. Donna has also learned the traditional styles of Egyptian dance known as Baladi and Saidi. She has taken master workshop classes in both of these styles and received certification of the dance style and knowledge behind each of them. She has incorporated the above styles into her dance making her very diverse in the Middle Eastern art. Combining the traditional Turkish and Egyptian moves with modern flare has made her one of the most authentic dancers of the area. While Donna has a true heart-felt compassion for the Middle Eastern styles of dance, she has also learned the new and upcoming American Cabaret style of Belly Dance. Some of her teachers include, but are not limited to Nourhan Sherif, Sahra Saeeda, Jehan, Azhia, Najia, Lina, Marina Darowish and Suhaila Salimpour.

Donna continues to expand her knowledge and love of this art form by attending and hosting workshops in all genres of true Middle Eastern Dance styles. As a dominantly free-style performer, Donna loves to be with her audience and incorporate them into her dance; She possesses a lively, energetic movement that is controlled by a soft and sensual grace. Being a professional dancer and choreographer has enabled her to respect and understand the music and rhythms required of a true belly dance performance. In Cairo, Egypt there is a saying “every girl is a born dancer” which Donna truly embodies with the Egyptian/Turkish/Lebanese culture, style and dance art.

“I have always loved Middle Eastern Dancing and hope to continue to dance, teach, choreograph and learn all new, as well as, old aspects of the various styles.” Donna.

Operapop (Francesca Carli, soprano and Enrico Giovagnoli, tenor) merge the language of pop music with their experience of opera in a fusion of great vocal skill and stage presence that leads to a spectacular performance.

They met at Conservatorio G. Rossini in Pesaro, where they qualified in 2005 with top marks, followed shortly thereafter by their theatre debut, singing in operas such as "Rigoletto", "la Traviata" by G. Verdi, "Turandot" by G. Puccini, "Lucia di Lammermoor", "Rita", "Il Campanello", Donizetti, "La Sonnabula" by V. Bellini, "la Cambiale di Matrimonio" by G.Rossini, "la Serva Padrona" by G.B.Pergolesi and others.

While travelling from city to city, Enrico e Francesca came up with the idea of establishing their duo, Operapop.

In 2006, at a turning point in their musical career, they were fortunate enough to study for an intense period under the greatest tenor of all times, Luciano Pavarotti, who encouraged and motivated them to pursue their ambitious project, leaving them with an indelible mark of his unique teachings. Operapop's debut before the public at large came in 2009, when they won the television competition "I Raccomandati" transmitted on RAI 1 Italian National television, backed by the most famous Italian rock and roll artist, Little Tony.

This was followed by invitations to appear on other RAI 1 programmes "Festa Italiana, "La vita in diretta" and "Mettiamoci all'opera".

These performances were soon followed by success abroad; in Washington D.C. for the important journalism award "Press Award", in Libya, at the renewal of the peace accords between Italy and Libya appearing on national Libyan television Al Jazeera, as representatives of Italian music in Beijing (China) and as special guests at the "Avalon Theater" at Niagara Falls (Ontario-Canada).

In 2010 they were guests of the National Television programme "Festival" on Sky Gold TV .

That same year saw them perform, to great acclaim, in such widespread destinations such as Cancun (Mexico) for WBC in front of the great boxing champions of the world, in Mexico City where they were also guests on the programme "El debate: Pensar Mexico" on national Mexican television TVAzteca and again in China. They also performed on the programmes "La nave di Capodanno" during the live transmission on New Years' Eve in Naples on RAI1 and RAI International and then on "Domenica In", "Di che talento sei" and "E state con noi i Tv" on RAI1 and "I Fatti vostri" on RAI2.

In 2011 they featured as special guests on Little Tony's new album "E' Impossibile (It's Impossible)" where they sing a duet, the well known Neapolitan song, "Torna a Surriento".

They then returned to perform in the USA (Beverly Hills - California), in Mexico (Mexico City and Texcoco), in Cina (Dalian), in Sud America (Uruguay and Argentina) and in the RAI1 TV programme "I Raccomandati", where they are the only previous winners of the programme to participate as guests.

In acknowledgement of a year of hard work, in July 2011 they won the national "I Marchigiani dell'Anno" (Marchigiani of the Year) Award,a prize that emphasizes their talent and hard work in the artistic field, confirmed a short while later when they returned to Canada (Casino Rama in Toronto) and where they also appeared on the Canadian Television Network CHIN TV.

An inspiring example of quality, professionalism and emotion: this is Operapop.
